This video features a research project undertaken by an undergraduate student in the Mixed Reality Lab who is committed to creating user-focused spaces through evidence-based design. In this presentation, they discuss their journey into research, which led to a project exploring the inherent and extrinsic values in design students using verbal protocol analysis and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). By examining how learning specific design strategies can enhance creativity, their study not only yielded valuable insights but also earned them the Undergraduate Library Research Award at Oklahoma State University.
